Well, I've finally upgraded us to the latest and greatest vBulletin! Things are still changing as I type this. Right now everything appears to be running fine. Now it's just a matter of adapting some of the old technology with the new. There are some features that won't be around any more, but there will also be plenty of new things as well.

All in all, I think you guys are going to love the new software!

I almost forgot, the forum is also getting a face lift to go along with the upgrade. This way you can make the most out of the new features available in VB 3.7!

Here's a brief explanation of some of the new features:

Photo Albums:
Users can now create multiple photo albums and upload pictures to them. This can be accomplished by clicking the "User CP" link. Once on the User CP page you will see a new category called Networking. At the bottom of the category is a link for Photos and Albums.

Then all you have to do is create a new album and start uploading pictures! After you upload the pictures it will ask you to put in a description of the picture.

Social Groups:
Also under the new Networking category, is the Social Groups link. When you click on that it will take you to the Social Groups page. Here you can see which groups you belong to, and which groups are available to join. Users can create their own social groups, so feel free to make your own!

Better Profiles:
User profiles have been enhanced to display more information. The new layout may take a little while to get used to, but I assure you it's better

The old theme most likely will not be returning. However, something new is coming along. The current template is just a place holder while I wait for the new skin. I've already ordered it, I'm just waiting for the company to activate the license.

As for the arcade, I'm not sure what is going to come of that just yet. That arcade was designed to work on an older version of vBulletin, so any revisions in code could break it. If there is an arcade system for vB 3.7 I'll see about installing it.

Ok good news! I have FINALLY received the template(s) I'll be using for our site. Now I just have to custom tailor them to our forum. By which, I mean I have to add in our logos, text, etc.

I'm hoping to have it up and running by the time I leave for South Carolina next week.

thats odd i havent had a problem with that... i have a question, will there be a place on the main page that shows pictures from the albums? and if so will it so randomones everytime you view the main page or will it just show recently uploaded pictures

Hmm, I haven't experienced any problems with that.

Try deleting your cookies and then try logging in again and be sure to tick the "Remember Me" box.
