Year One decided if Pontiac would not bring back the Trans Am, they would do it. In honor of the 30th anniversary of smokey and the Bandit, Year one is making some Trans Am's. They will be built on 77-81 bodies and frames with all new equipment. HID headlights, built in nav system a base 450HP, stage 2 550HP and stage 3 700HP engine, tires go up to 335 wide and brakes go up to 14". Should be amazing.
I would love to own one till I found out they will start at $140,000. The crazy part is that they were planning on making 500 of these cars. Autoblog for a little more on it YR1 News Last edited by InsaneSkippy; 12-30-2007 at 01:00 AM. |

Yea, I read about that a while ago. I'd have to have the Ban III.

Yeah I love it too. I had a 77' Trans Am Black with red velour interior and the Pontiac 400 not the Olds 403. It had the Turbo Hydro 400 3 speed Trans in it. Bad on gas but it turned a million heads. I still kick myself for getting rid of that car. I would love to have any one of those cars.

Those are awesome. If I hit the lotto I will have to have one. (I wish) My last T/A was a 78 with a 71 455 in it.............hauled butt, needless to say. I have always loved the 77-78 nose and of course the t-tops.
