Last year the Central Florida Wide Track Warriors held a car show at the Carl Black Buick Pontiac GMC dealership in Orlando. With less than a month to plan the car show, the event was rushed. There was still a turn out of 55 cars. That day we raised over $250 for the charity, Edgewood Children's Ranch.
This year they are putting on the same show, this time it's not just GM cars, anyone can enter. There will be trophies, food, music, possibly a radio DJ with one of the local stations. This show will have both radio and published promotion. Right now the show is scheduled for the second Saturday in December. I think it would be nice if we could get a few of our members to head out to this show together. It would be a great way for us to attend an event as a club. UPDATE: Ok registration is going to be $10 for the show. 100% of this money is being donated to the Edgewood Children's Ranch. K92 FM will be out there playing music the Hooters girls will be there too Last edited by InsaneSkippy; 10-20-2007 at 12:59 PM. |

Well I better have my Z28 running in December, but I'll try to make it if we all roll out.

I think I will have all my stuff moved in so I can finish up a few loose ends on my car and go to the show. Is there a set date yet? I see in Dec. but not an actual date?

They did another show like this at the home stores in Kennasaw GA. That is where i had a BlackBird (2nd car ever owned) Trans Am number 21 of 50. 380RWHP they made a nice car through GMMG Inc. I will do my best, I might show a TA and not the GA.

This is a really good show. The Wide Track Warriors did one hell of a job throwing that show together. Basically the dealership asked them to host a show in less than a month. They came up with trophies, BBQing, and over 50 GM cars. Most importantly, they raised almost $300 for the Edgewood Children's Ranch (the charity).
This year, they will be promoting it a lot more. Carl Black will have to clear their entire front lot. Last year they only expected 10-12 cars to show up. I'm not going to that many shows this year, but this is one I'm making a point to go to. I hope we can get at least 5 people from FLGM there.
