Default My new 2009.5 G8 GTX

I am not sure if you remember my pimped out GAGT SC/T, well it has been traded in on a new GTX G8. #7 of 130 being made with 385 HP and over 1.02 G's. it is mainly a suspension car. GM is making the Hurst edition of the G8 53 of those guys and SLP is making 150 Firehawks. So there will be about 320+- special G8's made and I snatched one of them! It is no 415HP GXP but it will out turn one and with the suspension mods on this car I have not messed with yet, I pulled a 12.89 quarter! Cool to have a 12 second sedan straight from the factory.

I have on order a CAI Good for 25 HP or 20 at the wheels. that is good for 3/10th off a stock GT time of 13.4 so I fiugre should be goor for 1/10th at least for me.

Also, a Superchips 93 octane tune which is said to give roughly 30HP or about 22 to the wheels which has taken the stock GT down from a 13.4 to a 12.9* times on over 30 tested cars! Should be good for 2/10ths on my ride at least.

Between these two parts alone I should be about a 12.5 and still run with a full warranty. The cortex Trans and engine tune is reversable if I have to take the car to the shop. Otherwise, not sure about headers or not yet, but I plan to do an exhaust later and then leave the car alone until the warranty is up.

Yeah it is nice! The blue is awesome in person (so much metallic). The only thing I did not let the dealer put on was the 007 under the drivers side head light. They gave it to me so I might add it as it is growing on me.

Nice G8! That LS2 engine is great. I'm happy to see another four door beast on the forum.

Yeah it is nice with it being a 4 door vette. I run the L76 GT engine (stock 355 HP/360TQ, GTX has 385 HP 400TQ) with the DOD displacement on demand. Weird setup but it works. In town it is a hog. I get about 13.5MPG but with cruise set at 80 on the highway I get about 26MPG which is not bad at all.

My car has the LS4 with the DOD. I was very happy to see the fuel in city and highway was pretty good.

How does yours do? Mine is not great in town, but I like all 8 running so I think I could get better but I don't with all the stop lights here. The 6.0 most likely does not do as well as the 5.3 plaus I think I have some weight at 4,000 lbs in the car alone
