Unhappy car in the shop :(

I figured that this would be the right bored due to the fact that its in for usual stuff, not aftermarket mods.

I finally broke down and got a new master break cylinder, I found out the other day that I reallllllly need one when I hit the breaks and the car decided no, I don't feel like st oping. luckily there was no one else on the road

They also found out the reason I keep leaking coolant is that I have some bad gaskets, so they pulled the engine and are replacing them all.

oil change and normal 3000 mile checkup stuff to

can't wait to see the bill

P.S. I just noticed that there is no crying smiley

You got the LIM gasket leak. I had that one, it's kinda scary at first but it'll be great when its fixed! Fortunatley no one was on the road when your brakes decided to quit. Yikes. Hope it all works out for you man.

Sounds like you have the LIM leak. Its a common gasket replacement for these motors.

My LIM went out twice before my 3 year 36,000 mile warranty was up. That was a crazy problem with the 3.1 amd the 3.4L engines. Most shops will charge about $400+ ot replace them which is insane bt I am told a lot of time goes into it (which is what you are paying for). The master cylinder should not be a high ticket item though. Let us know how everything turns out.

I got it back today, my dad picked it up from the shop while I was at work. I have not driven it yet, but I am about to

he said it runs better now than it ever has, but it comes at a price

and that price was $1,069

all gaskets replaced, new master brake cylinder, some alternator work, oil change, all fluids replaced, thermostat replaced, and a few other things.

so, anyone hiring?
