I have worked as a detailer for a long time (as a side job), and worked on cars for years too. I am told by the G8 community that the clear coat is very thin on these cars. I have a Stryker Blue Metallic and I would like to know what is teh best thing I can do to protect the finish. I don't want every piece of sand to chip through the clear and get to the paint.

I'm not aware of anything other than a few extra layers of clear coat from an aftermarket paint source.
