First of all, I apologize for the stupid question, but for the life of me I can't figure out this issue.
Anyway, I'm a bit of an eBay junkie, so I'm constantly looking on there for cool new stuff to put on my car. Once I found someone selling their entire collection of audio and performance stickers! I also have some of the brake caliper covers (red, of course) and some kickass precut tint. All I had to do was put it on the windows ![]() Oh, and can't forget the set of interior lights (they cycle through 7 colors) and the LED side mirrors. But back to the question: I went to put some of the stickers on my car the other day, and I can't get them to stick! I've tried everything, but they just keep peeling off. Could I have done something wrong when I spray painted the car gold, or am I missing a step to putting stickers on a car? Thanks for the help!

There are a number of things that may be hindering the process. If there is no clear coat that may affect the adhesive properties that the sticker may require. Another possibility is that the sticker may be too old. Hope you enjoy your loot.

hmm... did you clean the area before putting the stickers on? You want to make sure there is no wax/polish anything on there. Usually rubbing alcohol will cut anything off the surface that might cause a problem with adhesion.

I need to sign something that'll keep me away from my car and computer under the influence of Nyquil.
The stickers had clear backing on them covering the adhesive. Pardon the stupid! ![]()

Yea, I can see how that would prevent adhesion.
